Yes, I've been doing a lot of that lately.

With my food poisoning slowly subsiding and the frantic run to the toilet becoming more infrequent, I'm beginning to feel much better.
Though, I do have a Math test tomorrow to worry about.
Domain and range will be my new problem to tackle.

Ok, what was I about to write about, hmm...
Let me ask you, my fellow readers and those who just happened to stumble upon my blog while they were just randomly searching blogs to read, or even those who were lured in by my banner in forums with its misleading tagline"Click to check on my current mischief",

What comes to mind when I say the words 'destiny' and the quote of William Shakespear aka The Bard of Avon, "All the world's a stage and all the men and women are mere players"?
I can only imagine a few responses:
(a) You say that it has nothing to do with each other and think nothing further of it.
(b) You stare at me like I'm some sort of crazy person.
(c) You change the subject and act as if I didn't ask the question.
(d) You think that it was bad timing to have stumbled onto me when I'm asking this question and you're muttering a curse under your breath.
Don't worry, I'm used to the above-mentioned responses.

This thought of mine (which I'll write about later) came to me after watching My Sassy Girl on Sunday night.
Jordan was saying something about destiny, and somehow my weirdly wired brain linked it to a movie called 'Stranger than Fiction' which then linked me to the thought, do we actually exist?
No, I'm not a Philosophy student.

Are we real?
Do we actually exist?
Are the things around us really there?
When we see something, our eyes perceive it as it is; but if we don't, will it no longer exist?

Also, I've also been wondering about this.
Everyone is destined to do something or be someone, but are we actually going on our own paths or that we're actually the work of imagination of a higher force?
Simplified, are we the characters of a fiction and the God that we know of might be the author?
Since we humans do write stories and create characters of our own, might we ourselves be the creation from the imagination from the one we call God?

The more I think about it, the more it seems to be like a never-ending cycle.
We write stories while our stories are being written.
So if all these in some weird way turns out to be true, then can I say that I'm acting and behaving the way I am because my character was built to be like this?
Can I also say that the things happening around me are all the doings of my sadistic author who seem to enjoy to see me suffer and feel miserable?
Sounds like excuses, huh?

There's also the thought about another me in a parallel universe.
Have you ever thought about that?
And there is the time continuum theory, where time is a dimension where one can rip a hole and go back to whenever they want, given that they have enough power to rip that hole.
I see time as a very...what's that word...very...
...I don't even know a word to describe it.
As time flows by in our perspective, we are repeating what we're doing.
Sorta like history repeating itself.

How should I put it...
Let's say you're brushing your teeth at 11 before going to bed on 29/07/2009.
On 15/12/2015, you'd still be brushing your teeth at 11 on 29/07/2009.
And on 29/12/2115, you'd still be brushing your teeth at 11 on 29/07/2009!
I know it sounds confusing or downright illogical, but think about it.
What you did at 11 on 29/07/2009 is carried forth to your future.

Even more confused?
Then let time be a reel of film.
In a movie, you have the beginning, the progression of the story, the climax and the conclusion.
Let's just take the progression part of the film.
Your conclusion is based on the choices by the character during the story progression, yes?
Then substitute time into that equation.
Your outcome is the effect of your choices and it is maintained by the constant replaying of that choice.
The world that we live in right now is a constant replay of events that happened and are happening.
Understand now?

It's quite hard to explain this, unless you see me personally.
Then I might have something to debate about.

And note this, I'm not a Philosophy student, nor do I have any knowledge about Philosophy other than it being the study of fundamental nature of knowledge, reality and existence.
I'm only some 18-year-old college freshman with a weirdly wired brain (as told by some of my teachers and friends) that could link up unrelated things and sometimes think too deep to the point of being extreme.

It's that time of the year again, where I feel all muddled up and procrastination is at its peak.
In short, I'm bored.
Yes, even with piled up scripts, pending manga to catalog and pending assignments with deadlines so very close, I'm bored.
I didn't think that it would come so soon; was expecting it to grab me in its foul claws some time next year.
I guess it came early.

Nothing has made any significant change in my life, not even the death of the King of Pop.
It's still a mundane routine of college, work, eating, sleeping and other human activities.
I fear that if nothing exciting or fun happens, I'll be forced to do something very drastic to make life a bit more exciting.
I have a feeling like I'm like the Hitachiin twins, Hikaru and Kaoru; just that I'm missing a twin.

I've got nothing else to say, other than to head over to Berry Crazy Carmen's blog to read her awesome version of her LURVE Affair.
It's the only thing interesting that I have seen for the past few weeks.

Oh crap, literally.
I think I have food poisoning. It's probably the soya milk that I drank for breakfast.

Odd titles again, heh.

As you could see, I had an excessive nosebleed yesterday due to reading 少年ドールズ.
I think I might have heart palpitations after reading the newly released Skip Beat! which is chapter 143.
Ooo...I'm waiting for the triangle to form. Let's see how Sho and Ren will settle among themselves. *giggles in anticipation*

I had some positive reviews about my blog! *throws confetti and brings out champagne*
To my readers, どうも有難うございます!
I hope that my erratic ramblings on daily life will continue to excited and delight you.
My inspirations come from the weirdest and sometimes, the most common of things.
Therefore, 宜しくお願いします!

I have been wondering about where I actually fit in the teen hierarchy.
I don't really belong with the geeks or the nerds.
I definitely don't belong with the jocks and cheerleaders.
I'm not really a skater punk or a goth.
And I don't belong to the emo or hip-hop crowd.
Then, I come to realize that all these are stereotypes of teenagehood.

You see, all these stereotypes comes from media.
Yes, the little (or big) black box with moving pictures.
With that black box in almost every home on the planet, its influence is ginormous.
Our lives are no longer dictated by who we are, it's all manipulated by the actors and actresses we see on the television. (Yes, the black box)
Simplified, we are losing our self identity.

Pre-teens are now fashioning themselves to the likes of Hannah Montana, The Naked Brother's Band, High School Musical and other pre-teen icons.
Teens are morphing their lives to what they see in OTH (One-Tree Hill), the OC, 91210 and again, HSM.
I just don't get why they want so many complications and drama in their lives.
And what's with the stereotypes?
And the labels they give, don't get me started on that.

My point is, why fashion ourselves to the ways and lives we see on tv?
I've got friends who go clubbing every night just because the 'IT' crowd is doing it.
I want to ask, who are these 'IT' crowd people and who the hell decided that they were 'IT'?
Self-proclaimed much?
If you are in the 'IT' crowd, will you be richer or you have special privileges that Life will give, like eternal life and youth?

So my conclusion on where I stand on the teen hierarchy is, I'm standing on a platform of my own.
Let those idiots and morons continue to classify themselves into the stereotypical categories.
I'm unique, and so are you.

Winternite is temporarily out of commission due to an unexpected nosebleed which led to her to being warded in the hospital.

This is the cause of the nosebleed.

Update: She is now warded in the sanatorium for mental examination after reading v07ch43 of The One.

Okay, maybe college life isn't as exciting as I thought it was.
The days has gone by with me lamenting on how I wish that I didn't have [insert Physics/ Chemistry/ Math test/ quiz] on the next day.
Yes, I now have a budding dislike for the constant quizzing and assessments.

I used to think that the assessments would do me good instead of harm.
But what I didn't factor in is my inability to actually remember what I'm supposed to during that crucial moment when sitting in that quiet room to ponder over the question.
Perhaps I'm not cut out for the 'Western' style of education that I wanted throughout my sec school years.
Perhaps I'm the kind that only can do the 'two tests and two exams in a year' sort of education; that's how education was for me for the past say...11 years of my life?

And just because I'm not cut out of it doesn't mean that I'm not going to try.
All I need is a whole lot of blank paper, the thick and heavy reference books that I borrowed from the library and hauled three floors down campus and one floor up home, my stationary and calculator, my MP3 and most importantly...A strong cup of caffeine-infused drink.
Make that a mocha java or a can of Kickapoo.

Let's start cracking!

Maple Story Ep2 came out days ago.
And I got a character of mine as the Knight of Cygnus.
Job: Flame Wiz
Current lvl: 30.
Opinion of new job: Meh...

My fire mage can pwn it without even breaking a sweat.
I mean, come on...
Who's heard of a wiz without the mp healing ability?
I think I'm gonna just leave my char at that lvl, geez.

Anyways, I'm devoting my whole of today to translating my scripts!
No excuses.
I'm going to finish up the two of each from the scanslators!
Then, I'm gonna clean out my wardrobe and my desk!
Then, I'm going to finish my Math work and my Physics assignments!
Then, I'm gonna catalog my manga!
And lastly, I'm gonna go practice my Math.
...If my procrastination doesn't rear its ugly head again.

After countless procrastinating, I have finally decided to revamp my blog.
It'll happen soon, I promise.

Things are starting to get even more hectic;
Stupid Malaysian Studies have now taken up my Fridays, making me lose my time on scripts.
Whose stupid idea was it to FORCE us to study History again?
I'm glad that it's only 7 weeks.

Anyways, I WILL find time to finish my scripts and revamp my blog.
So there might be one day when you're see a 'Revamp in Progress' instead of the post page.
And admins, don't worry. I'll have a special link for you to check my progress.

Run, Don't Walk

Oddly enough, the title does apply to me this time.
I can't afford to walk and smell the roses any more.

I think I might have overestimated my ability of time-management and might have bitten more than I can chew.
Yeah, I'm talking about my translations.
I received a PM from Wataame Shoujo regarding my application to be a translator.
If they accept me, I'll be working for a total of 9 groups!
Yeah, you heard me. NINE
Well, I'm only receiving work from 6 out of the 8 I previously applied for.
I haven't not heard of any oncoming projects from Ochibichan nor J-Sis and I ain't complaining at all.
But the work of the 6 has already buried half of me; the other half is with assignments.

Right...Shoujo Crusade just sent me a PR test and the download has finally finished.
I guess I'll take that test, finish half of Hyper Baby and then spend the rest of my night practicing for the Math quiz.
Yes, I don't think that I'll be sleeping today.

You're Not Sorry

Oh no, don't misunderstand.
I'm going back to my weird ways of naming titles; this time, it's using song titles.

After so many months of the release of 'Twilight', I've finally taken the time (and the guts) to watch it.
Sure, it might have deviated from the book just ever so slightly. But duh!
That's why the put the 'Adapted from' in the title!

My verdict:
It's not a great movie, nor a terrible one either.
Out of 10, I might give it a 7.
The chemistry between Bella & Edward was a wee bit sketchy; but at least there was a fizzle, if not a pop.

Also, Sims 3 is OUT!
I absolutely LOVE the Sims franchise, even if I didn't get all the titles for Sims 2.
Sims 3 is more awesome, with the playable neighborhood and no more of the fussy loading issues!
The programmers say that it can even work well without the latest graphic cards or processors, so it's safe to say that even my old junk of a computer will work fine for it.
Now all I gotta do is to convince dad to fix my DVD drive...

The features are now better than ever!
The characters are realistic to the point of it being freaky. I swear that if you give me 10 minutes, I will be able to make the character look exactly like me.
But then again, why the hell would I make her as ugly as I am?
The other new feature is that we can customize the furniture and build a house however we want it to look like!
Clothes are also customizable! And this time, we even get to pick out our Sim's very own shoes!
I can stop aging but I dunno if I can stop free will, since the game is built on A.I.
Call me a control freak, but I like the fact that I'm able to dictate every single move they make.
No, I don't call myself 'Sim God'.

Anyways, I hope that I'd be able to get the game some time this year (birthday presents, anyone?).
I'd take me a long time to save up a few hundred bucks to get it.
Oh well.

No,I'm not talking about water streams.
It's more like streams of work.

Yes, I'm finally feeling a lil under pressure with my course.
But it's not anything that I'll break under.
I have a Physics test tomorrow (gasp! How long was it since the Orientation?) and a Math quiz next Tuesday (Oh gawd, logarithms...).
Attention to all Admins & Staffers,
Be prepared to expect slow releasing scripts from me
...There, I have stated my reasons.

Now...Off to revise on vectors.
Oh, why the hell does it have to involve Trig?!
