I Miss YOU!

Dear Grandma in Heaven,

Hmm...Valentine's day is finally come and gone.
Same old, same old. No dear one, no special person; nothing.

Well, nothing but pure frustration.
I don't want to revisit yesterday's anger, it was painful and disappointing.

This has nothing to do with the chocolate sales.
SHE stuck us with the 'Learn a Word a Week' again! I did not hesitate to voice out my displeasure when she asked me which week I'd be taking. Then, she gave us the 'pep-talk' about us being irresponsible and not keeping our word.
What about her?
She told us that we needn't do this again if we did it last year! A pot calling a kettle black!
Then, she said that the teachers complained about our class being like this and said that a teacher hinted a name of a student in the class.
Duh, she was talking about me. That teacher was most probably another-name-I'd-rather-not-mention.

How did it happen?
I was a member of the ICON group last year, the school's magazine, under the English department.
I was suppose to write about two events that I wasn't present at, The Teacher's Day and the National Day celebration held in school. Since I wasn't told of any deadline, I put it aside while I tried to tunnel out of my mountain of homework.
I missed school and the ICON meeting for a few days when you passed. When I got back to school, I was still emotionally and mentally unstable. I was in still in a state of daze that you died.
Then, out of nowhere, the teacher stopped me at the stairs and asked me about the articles.
Still in the state of blurness, I didn't answer her. My silence was misinterpreted.
She then asked me to leave the magazine and she will find someone else to do it.
I agreed, cause the teacher didn't even bother asking for the reason.
At least this year, I don't need to see her anymore, as she was promoted. I'll never need to see her again in 9 more months.

It's disappointing to find out that teacher no longer care about the welfare of the students anymore. They're adopting the 'If I cared, my salary is still the same' mentality. Whatever.

This year, I hold two posts; the library head and secretary of Blue house.
Both posts require me to stay up late just to finish work. I'm glad that I'm already used to sleeping late; if I didn't, it'll be panda eyes galore.
To top those, it's exam year for us all. SPM in 9 months.
Now, I have duties to carry out, tuition classes to attend, scrapbooks to finish, homework to complete, presentations to be done and the library to oversee.
Blue house duties will end after Sports Day; I'm glad that Sports Day is in March.
Multitasking is an ability that I very much lack.

Well, this blog will be outdated for quite a while.
I don't really have time to write anything, including my personal journal, anymore.

I really miss you, Grandma.
Didn't I tell you to wait for me to graduate and attend my graduation?
Didn't I tell you to wait for my first paycheck and buy you the dinner I promised long ago?
Didn't I ask you to try to get better, for my sake?
Didn't I tell you that I'd introduce you to my boyfriend, if I ever managed to get one?
I'm sure that he'll adore your cooking...
Alas, you didn't wait...

But, it's okay. I understand that you were suffering everyday, being sick.
I'm just mad that the doctors didn't manage to figure out what was wrong with you.
Uncle should have brought you to consult another doctor, instead of talking the talk but not walking the walk. What about the other useless one, the one who was so stingy?!?
Mom was disappointed with them, and she still is.

I hope you found Grandpa and is happy to see him again. I hope that you're comfortable in the place that you are now.
Come visit me in my dreams, 'kay? I really want to see you again.

I'm off to bed now.

Forever your loving grand-daughter,
YL.
